RSS is another good tool to play with. I didn't have any problem in adding a feed to my Bloglines using the second way. It was very easy and not time consuming. I didn't have patience with the first method, because I always try to find the easiest way. And actually YAHOO (which I use at home) sindicates the most visited websites for me (I used the term customized). I'm a subsriber to Good Reads, so book review sindication is very helpful.
